Another week has come and gone, so let’s see if I managed to complete my challenge this week!
Another week has been and gone already! We’re into November now!
So, it’s a new Saturday which means a new Side Challenge Saturday!
I’ve been doing these posts for a while on and off and I feel like it’s time to make these more of a challenge. So, with that in mind, I’m setting myself weekly reading related side challenges that I have to try and complete during the week, then I’ll report back on the following Saturday with how it went.
We’re getting close to the opening of my module website but still quite a while away from the actual start of the module. It feels like it’s dragging on and I just want to get started!
In October, I’ll be starting A334: English Literature from Shakespeare to Austen and I’m super excited now that I’ve got my textbooks through the post I’m counting the days until September 17th when the website launches and I’ll know for sure what I need to have done when.
I’m doing something a little different for my Side Challenge Saturday posts for the moment. I’ll be starting my final Open University module this October and it’s all about the books. The course title is something along the lines of From Shakespeare to Austin, so as you can imagine, there’s some Shakespeare and Austin in there. Below, I’m going to list the books that I have to read and then I’ll be keeping track of my reading progress for all the books in the lead up to my module start in October. I don’t know the order in which I’ll need to read these books – or if I even need to read them all – so it’s pretty much whatever order I’ll choose to pick them up in. Do let me know if you’ve read any of these!
I realise that I haven’t been doing great at keeping things updated on the blog lately but now that things have calmed down a little, I’m trying to get back into the swing of things again!
I realise that I was supposed to be whittling down this list of books but now, 11 weeks after starting, I’ve barely made a dent in the 30 odd original books on the list and I just keep adding more. At least I’m finishing most of the newly added books… but still!
