Gah! If only I could tell a teeny-tiny lie!

I could really do with keeping out of the spotlight right now due to having a) taken a spin in Madame Shirley’s truth-telling machine, and b) signed up for the school play, I’m in BIG trouble.

Why oh why has Miss Brannan cast Evie as Alien Juliet opposite my Alien Romeo? It’s got disaster written all over it, especially as we’re being dressed by Chloe and stage managed by Wayne!

And if that’s bad enough, thanks to one of my past fibs, Destructo’s been chosen to appear live on TV’s Most Talented Pets … riding a bicycle.

ARGH! Someone get me out of here!

My Thoughts

I’ve loved this series from the moment the first book landed on my doorstep. It’s such a unique premise and it’s one that kids will love. The series has gone from strength to strength and this one was no exception.

Beaky is once again in trouble when he’s the lead in a play but he doesn’t think he will be able to do it because of his inability to lie! But once he makes a game changing discovery, things start to look up. Even better, another of Madame Shirley’s unwilling victims has been in touch too.

As each book has progressed, Beaky becomes more and more resourceful in finding ways around his predicament and it’s hilarious to watch. With the way this latest one plays out, I’m very intrigued to see what the future has in store for Beaky and his friends.

An excellent series for young readers.
